I live in Humboldt for now and let me tell you… weed is pretty much the ONLY thing that people know us for so go figure that the movie is widely based around it. Hell even that show American Dad mentioned us…for the weed…

If there’s not a cameo apperance by Johnny the Mayor of Orick, it just isn’t a film about Humboldt. Come to think of, I don’t even know if Johnny is still alive.

Very true; I’ve met a lot of nice people who were homeless while working at a soup kitchen. They’ve all got their reasons for being on the streets, so I know you can’t just judge them on the fact that they are homeless. I’m sure that those who are a little rude or bitter are like that because of the way people have treated them for being homeless. The worst I’ve seen was a cop in D.C. kicking a sleeping homeless man in the ribs several times with unneeded force to wake him up.
