Also for all purposes this is supposed to be an exact replica of the original, which is why the only things different are the actors and the language being spoken.
For people who don’t know the point of this movie wasn’t for it to be a succesful bloody horror movie that americans will drool over. Actually it’s meant to be the oppisite. Haneke meant this film to be him putting down Americans for liking so much bloody gorey violence and torment of the characters in their movies. Apperantly they like it so much they completely miss his point. He’s against all that meaningless violent crap, not trying to make it.
@TheLastEnglishmen -_- It was made by a German and what do you mean the Americans are running out of ideas? what does that have anything to do with this movie?

Like a remote than controls time. The film is, quite simply, in terms of basic plot line, fucked up. I mean they shoot a shoot a little kid in front of his parents. You have to read deeper into the thinking behind the characters, like understanding that Paul knows hes in a film, he looks right into the camera and questions the audience. Its all in your head.

@DeathnoteBB No I got it. Trust me. I just couldn’t give any less of a rat’s ass. It was boring, regardless of the metaphors and the undertones.

That’s not exactly what Haneke was getting at when he made this film, but I really like you’re idea

Without Arno Frisch and that ‘power of suprising’, Funny Games US movie is only a poor substitute of original
