You’re being very narrow minded, it sounds like you think people only see films varying on their beliefs and will to learn. If I was to say I cannot wait to see this film, it may be just because I like Benicio Del Toro, or the director etc.
In future, if your are going to scrutinise somebody because they want to see something, first ask them why. Not merely: “I question your education”!
C’mon man!
It’s not glorifying him what so ever, it’s told in the common Cuban’s perspective. If you get a chance I suggest you go to cuba, you won’t find a nicer place! And people LOVE che, unconditionally, it’s not brain washing either, it’s true love, they respect him and what he did. Anyone that can’t grab a hold of the fact that you have to do what you have to do during war time is well, un-educated.
Its black and white. If you already know what he stood for and what he did to get there, you would be educated and therefore not be looking forward to a movie that glorifies him.
Does someone need to be educated to appreciate a movie? Not necessarily, in fact to “question” the education of someone who cannot wait to see the movie is being arrogant, especially to assume someone is “too young” understand something.
I can’t wait to see the movie, hold my education to account then…
comcast is a cable company, on demand is one of the features it has, you can watch certain things when u want for free. lots of stations like mtv, vh1, comedy central, etc. have their shows on demand now, so if you miss them you can watch it later. the same will be applied with this movie on the IFC network
If the nuclear missiles had remained we would have used them against the very heart of America, including New York City,” Che Guevara confided to the London Daily Worker in November 1962
No “real” Cuban admires Che — We are forced to “love him” in our schools and Americans love him because they are taught to hate freedom in Jr. Colleges.
I notice in this movie they failed to mention the degrees by which he murdered, tortured, raped, and executed on “the Wall” — Google: “Che the Wall” (el paredon). As young as 15yrs of age.
Che said, “Always interrogate your prisoners at night…a man’s resistance is always lower at night.”
The cue between 0:54 and 1:20 is “Acts of Courage” by X-Ray Dog. The song in the back end is a folk song called “Balderrama”. All the other music in the trailer is from the original score of the film.

It’ll be interesting to see how the film portrays Ernesto in contrast to the book, A Revolutionary Life

I saw it at my local indie movie theatre last week, a simply incredible movie, whether you’re for or against Guevara’s missions.

Hell, this isn’t the first Che movie, it’s like the third. The only other I can say by name is The Motorcycle Diaries.
