@CrisisCake i worked with don in the late 80’s, early 90’s. he drove around in a limo with a chauffer, showed up at each studio appointment on time, did one take, left, and we sent him his check. he was the consummate professional and kinda mysterious. never spoke of family, friends, etc., just came in, recorded and left. i dont think i heard a sentence in 6 years

I agree that don deserves a star on the walk. I just wish everyone else knew his face, up until yesterday I did not know his face, Ive watched multiple youtube videos about him in the last few days and Never knew that all these voices I heard in my lifetime were from ONE man! Its truly amazing how he did it, but sad that he didn’t get the recognition i think he deserved. RIP Don.

[Don]Long ago, there was a time…when the magic of Hollywood…didn’t come from a computer…didn’t need to be 3D… to take you someplace… somewhere you couldn’t even go… and it was as simple as… a VOICE.[/DON]

This guy could scare the crap out of me when I was a kid. There’s no school like the old school. I’m glad he did the GEICO commercial and finally let people see him.

This was a nice tribute, and they are so right about the star. Thanks for the magic, Don. Rest in AWESOME.
